I think while we are waiting on the new arrival to come next week, we will do a ā€œmeet the herdā€ mini donkey edition.
First up Bruce!!! Bruce is 19 years old. He was our very first ever mini donkey and the reason we want more.
He is so sweet, so chill, so friendly, so gentle, seriously I could go on and on. Not to mention he is teeny tiny. Seriously, the dude is short.
The problem with Bruce is we think he may be sterile, heā€™s been with our girls for a few years now and no baby. šŸ˜­
But he still makes for the best guy to have around.
Do you have any mini donkeys? Show me in the comments?
Alsoā€¦. Would you say heā€™s black or brown? Hubs and I canā€™t seem to agree on this one.

And finally, we have miss Maizy. She is last in our meet the herd series.
Maizy is a 75% highland, dun tipped heifer. (Dun tipped means her ears and nose are ā€œtippedā€ with color, and the rest of her is white, this is what makes the ā€œhighparkā€ look. McDreamy is a black tipped highpark)
Maizy is hands down the sweetest on the farm, without a doubt. She is so patient and kind. She loves being brushed, having treats and just hanging out. Bette is her best friend. She is a teeny tiny dainty little heifer, and we are so happy to have her on the farm.

Weā€™ve finally made it to Bette in our meet the herd series.
Bette is our yearling heifer. She just turned a year old in June.
We were almost not able to get Bette, it just wasnā€™t going to work out for delivery or pickup and then all the sudden it did and oh my gosh what a blessing that was.
She came from an incredible farm up north of us and we LOVE her so much we can not wait to purchase another from them.
Bette has the best hair, I mean clearlyā€¦.
She is super sweet but a little bit spicy. She loves treats and brushes and she does not wait her turn even a little bit. We can not wait for her to get a bit older and hopefully bred to McDreamy next fall for a 2028 calf!!! I mean seriously how would I ever sell that calf???
Bette is gorgeous and Iā€™m excited to watch her continue to grow up!! šŸ–¤

Next up for Meet The Herd: McDreamy!!! What a dream he is.
He is a yearling bull. He is 98% highland. Hairy as can be, and chrondro negative but so super tiny. The dude is short. (Seriously how is he gonna reach?) šŸ˜†
We are really hoping he has been busy breeding some of our ladies, or at least plans to get busy soon for 2027 calves.
He loves treats and loves to be brushed.
He came from our friends over at Little Lucky Cattle Company and we are so proud to own him.
We have two more left for meet the herd. I will share them later today. šŸ–¤

Weā€™ve reached the end of the 2 year olds in our meet the herd series.
Farrah is our last of the breeding age heifers.
She is 2 years old and she is red brindle. She is going to mature as one of our larger gals I think, but she is so incredibly sweet. She loves treats, loves to be brushed, and she has the thickest hair ever!! She is always giving someone a bath. No doubt she is going to be a great mama!! We are hoping for a 2027 calf with McDreamy. Iā€™m sure that calf will have some serious hair goals.
Her bestie is Sunny, but seriously she will give anyone a bath that stands too close to her. šŸ˜†

Next up is our 1 year olds. Only a few left.

Fun fact, one time Ronnie bought them an entire truck bed full of bread from a local bread factory. šŸ«Ŗ

Meet the herd. Next up is Baby Longhorn. (Yes, thatā€™s actually her name)
Her and Gary are besties. She is a 2 year old mini Texas longhorn.
She is a very calm and docile girl, she likes treats and to come up and say hello.
She is a super tiny girl. We are hoping for a spring calf out of her and McDreamy. Them together will create a ā€œhighhornā€ which is a longhorn/highland cross.
Iā€™m thinking itā€™s going to be absolutely adorable.
She gives the absolute best nose boops and we just think sheā€™s the cutest thing.
What do you think?? Cute?? Or should we just stick to the fluffy cattle??
