🐔 Nesting Drama Update 🐔
A few weeks ago, Emy Lou decided she was going broody.
For approximately 24 hours.
Then she apparently remembered she had other plans and abandoned the project.
So Loretta stepped up and spent the next 3 weeks faithfully sitting on the eggs.
This morning I went out expecting to find Loretta on the nest...
Instead, Loretta had rejoined the flock like her shift was over. 😆
And who was back in the nest box?
EMY LOU.
Sitting with the first chick that hatched and covering the remaining eggs like she never left in the first place.
So if anyone asks, Emy Lou would like credit for the entire project. 😂🐣
Now we need a name for this little chick! Drop your suggestions below. ⬇️
