Good morning folks! I woke up to more delicious recipes and photos from our customers.
Lasagna rolls using our pasture grazed Kunekune sausage! Of course it looks amazing and is making me change my plans for to ight’s dinner!

We do have a butcher run scheduled Feb 6th and by tonight I will have an idea how many bundles are still available! Be on the look out for our post!

First up for our 2026 farrowing season is Aria Giana x Whakanui, Truffles, and Mahia Love x Jenny, Hawkeye.
I’m looking for long, large piglets with good bone. One negative is both parents are a bit “downward dog”, so will be interesting to see how the piglets fair. Truffles pricked ears and open face will most likely impact the offspring, as all her past piglets look just like her in the head. I would love Hawkeye’s ears to impact the babies and lop them down a bit. Past butchering of Truffle’s piglets has been very good, and Hawkeye siblings that have been processed have been spot on.
We shall see!! 2 barrows are already spoken for from this litter. March 15th is coming fast.

Had a couple fantastic recipes come in from happy customers!
Pasture raised and grazed, heritage pork does make the difference. Taste, nutrition and the lives our pigs get to live is something everyone should be behind. Whether you support our farm or other small family farms, you customers are who keep small farms going.

Bunny babies are two weeks old today. They are looking good, and growing fast! Crissy’s Girl, the retained doe from our Tamuk breeders, is being a fabulous first time mama. She had 7 while we were in NC, but two didn’t make it, not sure why. But her 5 remaining are little chunks!

Apparently hotdogs suck too.
Not very playful this evening. We walked the property, did the normal check everything out, drank out of the trough (which she refuses to drink inside at all), then she wanted to sit on the front porch. So took her cue and brought her in. Ate a little dinner. And that’s that. 🤷‍♀️
