When we went to look through bucks at Damwild, we had a vision in mind of what we were looking for and we definitely found it in “The Closer”. With 14” palms at only 3 years of age, this guy has a very bright future in front of him. He will be seeing his fair share of does here at JKO.

We will be highlighting all of our fallow breeders over the next week and thought this was a good way to start us off.

When we decided to raise fallow deer, we knew that to make a real impact in this industry, we had to secure the best genetics possible. With that in mind, we purchased a lot in the EWA auction offered by NT Ranch giving the buyer 25% interest in choice of any 3 year old. When we went to NT Ranch to pick out our buck, there was an obvious choice BIG POPPA!!!

At 4 years old, Big Poppa is even bigger and wider than ever before and he will be one of the widest bucks this industry has ever seen. With a pedigree that reads Mr. Big/Mighty Moose/Darling there’s nothing else that needs to be said.
