This spring, the Terril team received a 100% score, a perfect score, at the most recent Sinclair Brand Excellence Site Inspection! The objective of the Sinclair Brand Excellence program is to ensure optimum retail sales conditions by continuously monitoring site image standards and customer service experiences. Some of the things Sinclair inspects while they visit include the cleanliness of the facility, good display of the Sinclair branded equipment and overall experience while visiting the facility. The photos are most of the Terril team that manages the Sinclair station. The other photo is the Sinclair station this spring. Nice work, Terril!

Is your mouth watering yet? 😉

We celebrate the beef farmers all year round, especially during our annual harvest grilling events at locations for our customers and employees! Although we are a little ways away from harvest time, we wanted to take a moment and say thank you to all local beef farmers during National Beef Month.

Pro Cooperative helps our local communities!

Pro Cooperative believes in giving back to the committees that our employees and producers live and work in. The City of Rutland will be constructing a new shelter building at their Rosemill park on the south side of Rutland. The new facility will be located near the camp grounds and will have bathrooms and showers for guests to use while they are visiting the park. It will also act as a storm shelter for the community if bad weather arises. Accepting the donation from Pro's Gracie Vatthauer was Susan Tille, the City's Mayor. Pro Cooperative partnered with two other organizations to help match the donation that Pro contributed to this project. We are excited to be apart of this project in Rutland!

The cattle are moving to pasture soon! Be sure you are ready and have Pro Cooperative's mineral lick tubs on hand. Some quick highlights for Pro Cooperative's products are:
-All tubs are manufactured with corrugated plastic to increase durability.
-Featuring 30% protein and Availa - 4 tubs, Pro Cooperative looks to increase the producer’s decision power and provide more offerings in the retail feed market.
-Pro’s 30% protein tubs are great for supplementing cattle on roughage diets, while the Availa-4 tub provides the efficacy of trace minerals that are often missing from cattle on pasture.
For questions or to place an order, please call Haley: 712-358-2494 or Mark: 712-363-6001

The new card reader system is now fully functional at the Gilmore City Service Center!

We are extremely excited for this update to the facility. We can once again accept credit cards, debit cards, and Pro branded fuel cards. The upgrade was requested by many patrons as the previous machine was tired and outdated. From reopening the Service Center shop, to a new digit sign, and now a new card reader at the pumps, thank you for your support of the Gilmore City Service Center and other Pro Cooperative locations!

This spring, the Graettinger location added a stop light to the agronomy fertilizer shed. It was added to help the tender and truck drivers know when they are full and ready to leave the facility. Additionally, a camera system was added to the loadout bays so drivers do not need to climb on top of the equipment for safety of employees. This small addition has been helpful this busy spring!

Update on the new card reader system installment in Gilmore City:

We are currently experiencing some difficulties with the transition to the new card reader system. We are able to take credit card payment at the pumps but we are having troubles with the system reading the Pro branded fuel cards at this time. We expect the Pro fuel cards to be operable at the Gilmore City pumps shortly. We are very excited for this improvement at the facility to enhance the users experience! Thank you for your patience!

We are making progress on our Pioneer Dryer project! As shown in this photo taken last week, most of the parts and pieces of the new dryer have arrived on site. Depicted in the bottom center of the photo, the cement slab for the foundation of the dryer was poured in mid April. Construction has slowed down a little due to the higher wind speeds in the last 10 days, but we still plan to have the project complete mid-summer.

04/25/2023

Have you wondered what a bird’s eye view looks like while we load a train? Take a look at the first three photos that were snapped last Wednesday during our most recent train. The last two photos from our March train provides more insight to how we load a train.

A really quick rundown process to load the train starts with a safety meeting to communicate with the team what the game plan is for that train once it arrives at Pro's Havelock location. To start, they first need to open all the lids on the cars and then connect about 10 rail cars to a track mobile (the machine that moves the train cars back and forth to load). Once the cars are in place, they dump grain into the rail cars from the elevator spout. Following the train car being loaded full, then we close the lids and move the rail cars back to the east. All 100+ rail cars are loaded within 15 hours. To put into perspective how large a rail car is, about 4 grain semi loads fit into one rail car!

Loading a train is a crazy, exhausting, and amazing process to be a part of and to watch. It takes all hands on deck to make a train be successful and to have our sole focus in Havelock, we close the Havelock location once the train arrives.

Thank you to all those in charge of making sure Pro's employees stay safe and get the train loaded as quickly as possible.

Earlier this spring, three new Timpte grain trailers joined Pro Cooperative's rollingstock. Whether from the farmer's field, doing a location transfer, or delivering to an end-user, these trailers will help maximize load capacity for each load our drivers are hauling. Although a new company to Pro Cooperative's rollingstock fleet, they are quite similar to the other Pro Cooperative trailers currently on the road. Additionally, they feature electric hopper bottoms, electric tarps, and have an extendable ladder on the back. They will be getting the Pro Cooperative logo placed on the sides of the trailers soon. These trailers have been a great addition to the fleet!
