I started making masks last spring just for myself.

I had more and more people asking for them, so I started selling them at the Farmers Market last summer.

I enjoy the process of finding fun and unique fabric, as well as providing an item that the community needs.

In addition to sewing, I also make vinyl decals, knit and crochet.

I’ve always been hands-on Artsy/Crafty and love to make stuff.

I Started sewing at 10- making all types of garments, costumes, etc.

have been ‘Repurposing’ long before Pinterest came into existence!

My initial plan was to make one large mushroom for a Fairy Garden in our backyard.

when I found SO many nice pieces of glassware, I decided to make a few extra mushrooms for friends and family.

I realized there might be other people interested in adding whimsy to their gardens, so I kept crafting.

while shopping for glass, I found an antique chandelier. It inspired the Bling Things.!

It’s been a fun project and has kept me busy during quarantine life

Marie (Re) became a beekeeper back in 2013.

If you can believe it, she had honeybees living in the wall of her farmhouse!!

The bees needed to be safely relocated before their renovation could take place.

Not a bad reason to learn a new skill. Little did anyone know, beekeeping would become such a passion!

Re’s bees either live on the 92 acre historic Solomon Simpson Plantation family farm (circa 1783) or at Raemelton Farm, in Adamstown. Fun fact: Raemelton Farm is the first nursery to offer USDA certified organic trees.

The Historic Solomon Simpson Plantation is also home to our happy hens. We have seven different heritage breed hens, along with some Easter Eggers! Our flock lives in the lap of historic luxury, in turn-of-the-century farm structures, lovingly renovated into coops, by my husband, Tom. The hens are spoiled rotten, with only organic feed, fresh fruit and veggie scraps from the garden, and
whatever insects and worms they are lucky enough to catch.

SARAH TREVISAN

Born in Washington, DC

Lives & works in Silver Spring, MD

Sarah has been creating art since childhood. She has exhibited work in many different venues and craft shows.

The hand painted pepper mills were the foundation for her business, Sarah Studios, which eventually included children’s hair accessories, Hair Flair, and other handmade goods.

Skilled in a wide variety of media, Sarah enjoys acrylic paint, pen and ink, colored pencil, and markers. She enjoys painting realistically as a challenge, while her abstract work is a way to express parts of her psyche that she is unable to articulate.

Art making is her most used therapeutic coping skill.

Sarah is passionate about helping others along her journey of self-discovery and truth seeking. Her coloring book series, Mindful Moments, includes very intense and emotional abstract patterns. Each image in the book series is hand drawn by Sarah. The books were designed to give others a quiet place for reflection and outlet for creativity.

Hi there! My name is Michelle McNeal. I have a heart for mixing Vintage looks, techniques and ideas with inspiration from modern fabrics to create lovelies twisting a traditional idea with a funky aesthetic. Lately, I’ve been sewing face masks, machine embroidering burp cloths, kid’s clothes, all things baby and making chocolate bombs. I love quilting cotton, specialty fabrics, sewing little girl’s dresses, designing projects in Design Space, cutting vinyl with my Cricut, embroidering with my Babylock and in general, just being in my studio and kitchen, creating.

It's been my goal to bring quality, fun, funky and functional boutique items to you at an affordable price point. Having stylish and fun things should not be a burden on your wallet. I take great pride in crafting a quality product, so you’ll never receive anything from me that I would not let my own kids, friends and family wear - or even spit up on!

A longtime sewist/seamstress, I began my sewing adventure because I was on a budget and wanted to have my baby decked out in the latest burp cloth trends and carry an on trend diaper bag. I’ve had a presence on Etsy for more than 10 years, and particularly love to support local. I am a my SAHM of three great kids, a community advocate and an avid volunteer who loves Jesus. Due to a cross country move, I'm a recovering fabric hoarder who loves to sew (and sell) my stash. Sewing has been a wonderful creative outlet for me for more than 18 years.

Don’t see exactly what you’re looking for? Reach out to me via messages and we can chat about something custom made especially with your aesthetic.

We are looking forward to another lovely weekend. It looks like Saturday will be sandwiched between two not so lovely days.

A little drizzle won’t keep us at bay, if any major changes occur in the weather.

Thistle and Willow will not be making an appearance, going forward.

We do apologize about that. Hopefully we can start private tours of the farm here in a month or so.

I’ll be posting the CFF “hot pocket” menu tomorrow, and our available produce from One Acre Farms and Fresh Mama Farms.

This smooth leaf delicate kale has become one of our favorite varieties. Tender enough to eat raw in salads and oh so good when added to stews or sautéed. It’s pretty crazy looking, but we’re really excited to have discovered it. This is what happens when farmers share successes or failures. We would’ve never known about this variety had it not been for visiting other farms and talking to other growers. 🙏

The flat leaf kale we are selling, from One Acre Farm, makes for an amazing homemade Caesar salad!

We highly recommend you give it a try, next Saturday! It’s absolutely divine, it doesn’t have that traditionally bitter characteristic that curly kale often does.
