I know we haven't been on here updating much. Life has been keeping us busy. But wet wanted to jump on and introduce you to the newest member of our little micro farm.
Meet Mopheth. Her name is one of the words used for miracle or divine acts of God. It's the word used when Moses posted the Red Sea. And it fits her. We were given her two weeks and a day ago. A rancher friend approached us/ our daughter at church with a proposition. He has this failure to thrive and lame 6 month old heifer that we could have of we could rehabilitate her. He just didn't have time. She was a twin and her twin was twice her size a birth so she didn't have a great start to begin with. A number of things all piled up to lead to her being in the condition she was in and he just didn't have the time or ability to do what needed to be done to get her healthy aging. Vet gave her less than 10% chance of survival. She couldn't webbed fully lift her head up herself when we got her. We have been babying her. Greg and J2 were going out several times a day and lifting her up themselves. J2 was massaging her legs and moving them around several times a day. J2 hand feed her grain and minerals along with some supplements. Mopheth has gained weight and started gaining strength. And now she is fully up and running around and showing her sass. She still has a ways to go but she has definitely earned her name as a miracle and mighty act of God. She will go with J2 when she gets older and purchases her own land but, for now, she is a member of our home and micro farm. So join us in welcoming this little girl and praising God for working a miracle in her.
I don't know why the photo loaded sideways and I can't seem to change it. Sorry about that.
