This is either going to be the best aged cheddar ever or the worst and we get to find out in 3+ months. 🫠🧀 Our first hard cheese, made with 100% raw goat milk from our farm and wrapped with lard rendered from Open Door Homestead LLC pork fat.

Yesterday I saw a ton of bees buzzing while tending to the goats, checked later and they all were gathered high in pine tree. I grabbed the ladder (thank you neighbors!), cut the branch and it fell before I could catch it with my spare hand and they flew back up. Cut the second branch and it fell right in the spare box. Fingers crossed our first wild swarm sticks around! 🤞🏻🐝

We wrapped up our kidding season with A Little Funny Farm Cauliflower delivering a buck and a doe for us this past Monday. ❤️😮‍💨

We welcomed triplet preemies last Tuesday (they were due tomorrow). Sadly, one didn’t make it, but the two who did are doing well (doeling/buckling). The mix of love and regret on mom’s face near the end. 😅

Mortified after we couldn’t find one of the newest kids, we searched everywhere, only to discover her on the opposite side of where she should’ve been, curled up and snoozing with a lone egg. 🙃🥚
