Sometimes the best meals are the ones that come together with a little bit of everything you love. 😍🥔🌱

Crispy roasted potato chunks seasoned with our house seasoning “Herb Seasoning Blend”, layered with melted Daiya Foods shredded cheese and Mrs. Goldfarb’s Unreal Deli bacon, then finished with our homemade cashew sour cream, a drizzle of hot sauce, and plenty of fresh green onions.

Simple ingredients. BIG flavor. And proof that plant-based food is anything but boring. 🤎

This one didn’t need a recipe… just a fork. 😂

One thing that came up during our sourdough workshop that is worth talking about:

Not all ovens bake the same. 🍞

You can follow a recipe exactly: same dough, same temperature, same baking time; and still get a different result.

Some ovens naturally run hotter or cooler than the temperature displayed. An oven set to 450°F may not actually be 450°F, which can mean a loaf browns much faster than expected or takes longer to bake.

Your baking surface matters, too. Cast iron, a Dutch oven, baking stone or steel, and a standard baking sheet all absorb, retain, and transfer heat differently. That changes how quickly the bottom and crust of your bread bake.

It’s one of the reasons I always say: learn your oven, not just the recipe.

An inexpensive oven thermometer can help you see whether your oven is running hot or cool. And when you’re baking something new, start checking it before the recipe says it should be finished.

Recipes give us a roadmap, but our kitchens still require us to pay attention. 🤎

This simple Liver Support Tonic is part of my personal morning wellness routine. I usually enjoy it first thing on an empty stomach, followed by a warm cup of tea. You can make it with plain water, but I personally use my hibiscus water and add agave to taste. 🍋🌺

One of the things I have learned on my wellness journey is that caring for our health is not about perfection or trying to change everything at once. It is about recognizing that we each have an important role in how we nourish and support ourselves every day.

We may not be able to control every circumstance or health challenge, but we can become more mindful of our choices, listen to our bodies, ask questions, and build small practices that support our well-being. Taking responsibility for our health can be a loving and empowering act.

📝 Liver Support Tonic
Ingredients

* 1 whole lemon
* 1 cup water or hibiscus water
* 1–2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
* Agave to taste, optional

Directions
Wash the lemon thoroughly. Remove the ends, cut it into pieces, and leave the peel intact. Add everything to a high-speed blender and blend for 1–2 minutes, until smooth. Enjoy immediately.

Because this includes the whole lemon and olive oil, some people may notice increased digestion or elimination when first introducing it. Start gently and pay attention to how your body responds.

For me, wellness is often built through simple, consistent choices like this one, one nourishing practice at a time. 🌿

Save this recipe to add to your own morning wellness ritual.
