It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Soror Barbara Ann Harris, one of the esteemed Charter Members of Psi Pi Omega Chapter. We extend our heartfelt condolences, prayers, and love to Soror Barbara’s family, loved ones, and all who were blessed to know her.

As a Charter Member, Soror Barbara holds a special place in the history and legacy of Psi Pi Omega. Although, she had entered a season in which she was unable to serve and participate as she once had, those who knew her knew just how deeply she loved her PPO.

Her connection to this chapter and her love for our sisterhood remained steadfast, and we will forever be grateful for her service, commitment, and the role she played in helping establish the foundation upon which we continue to build today.

Rest peacefully, Soror Barbara. Your PPO will remember you with love. 🕊️

Psi Pi Omega Chapter and the Project Pink & Green Foundation were honored to Champion Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®’s Foster the Future: From Here to Hope™ Signature Program through a meaningful partnership with the Women’s Ministry of Grace Baptist Church in Port St. Lucie, FL and its “Comfort in a Case” initiative.

For children entering foster care, something as simple as having their own suitcase can provide dignity, comfort, and a sense of belonging during an incredibly difficult transition. Our donation of luggage offered a practical alternative to carrying personal belongings in trash bags while reminding each child that they are seen, valued, and worthy of care.

This opportunity aligned beautifully with the mission of Foster the Future: From Here to Hope. A call to action to addressing immediate needs while helping create pathways toward stability, success, and belonging.

From Opportunity to Action, we are helping move children from here…to HOPE, 1 suitcase at a time 💗💚

Psi Pi Omega Chapter had an unforgettable time at the 72nd Boule in Las Vegas, Nevada!

From connecting with Sorors from around the world to learning, laughing, and creating lifelong memories. We’ve returned home recharged and ready to continue serving with excellence.

Vegas was fun but there's no place like bringing that Boule energy back home!

One Last First Friday Fellowship Under the T.U.N.E. Administration 🎙️

Is this the end of an era... or the beginning of a lasting tradition?

Our final First Friday under the T.U.N.E. Administration brought together a multigenerational bunch fur a summer soirée with the Brothers of Omicron Tau Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. From our newest to our Golden Soror, the night was filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and the kind of connection that makes our sisterhood so special.

Moments like these remind us that the strength of Alpha Kappa Alpha is found not only in the service we provide, but in the relationships we build and the memories we create together.

Here's to the bonds we've strengthened, the traditions we've built, and the ones that will continue for years to come.
