This one will double as a wine club pickup party so I will be pouring a really cool selection of wines that were just included in my spring wine club shipment. The flight is complimentary for wine club members and a plus one. Otherwise $40 for a taste of six exquisite wines. Here's something fun we did with our March Madness data that we collected. When participants were tasting the wines and deciding who to vote for, we asked them to also jot down any tasting notes that struck them about each wine. I collected all of these ballots and aggregated all of the tasting notes that people made about each of the 64 wines. With massive help from Jane Machine and Henry Kim at Willamette University (thank you!) we then created these word clouds for all 64 wines.
I will upload these in batches of five at a time over the course of the next several days.

If you are one of the wineries featured in any of these work clouds and you would like to have a high quality version of the file just let me know and I'll be happy to share it with you.

Just a few words as we reminisce about the last two and a half months worth of March Madness tastings. Many wines were tasted. Many wines were enjoyed. Many wines proved their worthiness! But only one was left standing when it was all said and done. Congratulations to Colene Clemens who won the tournament this year with their 2023 Victoria Pinot Noir. Feel free to drop in to the wine bar if you'd like to pick up a bottle of this spectacular wine at $75 per bottle. Or, feel free to email me an order at [email protected] I'll be happy to set your order aside for later pick up, or prepare an order for shipment. We also congratulate Elk Cove for winning our Pinot Gris mini bracket with their juicy and delicious 2024 Estate Pinot Gris. (Their Pinot Noir didn't do too shabby in the main bracket either! 🍷) The Pinot Gris will also be available for purchase at $25 per bottle.
Also, if there was any other bottle of wine from the entire bracket that you fell in love with along the way, I now have a limited supply of just about every wine that was in the bracket available for sale.
Lastly, are you a winery who would like to see their wine submitted for next year's bracket, which will feature the 2024 vintage? It's never too soon to start planning for next year, so feel free to drop me a line.

Congratulations to Colene Clemens Vineyard! They are the winner of our 2026 March Madness of Pinot Noir bracket tournament. By a vote of 17-14 over Antica Terra, CCV took home the "trophy" with their beautiful 2023 Victoria Pinot Noir.
Thank you to everyone who participated last night, and every night during this long and focused project!
Next year, we will do it again - this time with the 2024 vintage! Until then, stay in touch and join us as our regular "Friday Night Flights" returns next week.

And yes, I will have this wine available to purchase in the shop next week.

The Finale is here! This Friday March 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We will be tasting the two finalists: Antica Terra Botanica vs. Colene Clemens Victoria.

There will also be a slew of other wines to blind taste and enjoy. There are rumors of contingents from both wineries being present. So it should be a fun and dramatic finish!

No reservations necessary. Please drop in between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to start your flight. Let's find out together who the champion will be!
