Today we got the opportunity to show around a group of Tennessee beef producers. This group was coordinated by the Tennessee Extension Service. They got to see how our ranch operated and learn a little about our breeding program and goals of the ranch. We are always thankful for the ability to share our story and meet other producers from different backgrounds!

Today we’re visiting King Ranch which was originally named sant gertrudis ranch. Was purchased for only 0.02$ per acre 😳

I was so honored to meet Mr. Robert McAnear. I spotted him just as we were preparing to load our bus. He was sitting in the corner with a smile. I walked over to shake his hand. He is a REAL AMERICAN HERO. He offered me a poem and told me a story of the pictures he found 2 years after his return from the war. The friends he lost and the families he met. He wrote a book; “War, the Intruder” but he didn’t feel he had really honored his lost friends until 7 years ago when he penned the poem “A name on the wall” in honor of his fallen comrades. I cried, of course, and offered him a donation because he gives these poem post cards out all over to youth and adults. He does not accept donations but he accepted my hug and hand shake. He is 93 years old and what an honor to meet him! I love my elderly and our Vets. Twisted T Ranch Tiffany Thomerson

Our group is departing Comfort, TX. We enjoyed a tasting and distillery tour. Since Heath Thomerson has already taught me so much about this technique (with his moonshiners shows 😂) I skipped the tour, post tasting, and discovered the lil town (which I adore). I met this Korean and Vietnam veteran pictured and I’m going to spotlight his story but it will be in its own post. Make sure to enjoy his story to come! Twisted T Ranch

Had lots of sleepless and questionable nights of “Is this the right thing to do. Will we lose our minds temporarily to gain everything we ever dreamed? Does God really want us to do this?”

We’ll be revamping our website this week and getting ready for some great Fall Festivals.
