🌟4 of my favorite things 🌟connection, coffee, astrology, & a cozy Portland fall evening…

Introducing our first ever 🌙Cosmic Coffee Circle 🌙
Join me + Tara & Chance, of the beautiful Decks/BookStore, to bring you a unique astrological meeting of the minds!

To start, I will serve Cascara tea and guide us through a centering plant meditation.

"Coffee is a fruit, and Cascara is the coffee fruit skin: she is like the mothering energy of the coffee bean, drinking it gives you a subtle uplift and creates a pathway for you to connect with the Yin part of the coffee plant… injecting you with soothing & gentle sensations."

This will be followed by an open astrological discussion on recent and current transits and our experience of them through the lens of our various birth charts.

This type of discussion will allow us to more deeply understand the planets, their movements, and how they affect us differently based on our unique perspectives. I’ve had convos with both Tara& Chance and was absolutely moved by the aha moment’s firing through💡

I’ve always felt INspired and lit up by the guidance of our planets. What a blessing it is that we can commune & learn from the powerful guideposts of the sky.

Myself & have been doing this thing for years for close friends, and are now opening it up to others who are wanting to explore& shift their own connection to coffee

This space is held for you to drink coffee in a ritualistic way, to initiate/expand your connection to the plant, to meet other like minded people who love coffee & want to have a better relationship with it

We will sip, move, breathe, & integrate through shares.

How often have you found yourself brewing your coffee mindlessly & mechanically? Especially in the morning when your body feels like a log and your mind like a hazy blurr.

That may be you feeling sucked into a routine, and introducing a ritual brings you into the presence of brewing & sipping ☝🏻

Both routines and rituals help us root and get into flow.

Routines however can become mundane & boring, and rituals bring us to presence and remind us of the transformation that is actually happening.

Examples of a coffee ritual are as simple as smelling your coffee, giving gratitude to the plant that’s about to give you life… to as magical as pulling out a card from ✨

Your choice always remains on how much magic you want to infuse into your moment ☺️

I really enjoyed reading ‘s thoughts on the . What got me the most is: “this deck has a lot of moving parts which can seem overwhelming at first impression; it requires your dedicated attention in the present moment just as brewing a good cup of black coffee.… when done well, it doesn’t need sugar nor cream, only your time to savor the journey of a coffee bean.. “

Yes🤍 this deck isn’t for everyone, except for those willing to slow down & attune to the subtle nuances of life, to say “hold up for a minute patriarchy, i need a moment for myself! “

Ever wondered what the difference between ritual & ceremony is? I’ve always confused the two and so incase you are wondering, here’s a perspective!

✨Rituals & Ceremonies both have a way of bridging the human to the non- human, of connecting & rooting us to the present moment.

Where i feel they differ, is that with ✨rituals we experience a repetitive action that connects us to the sacred of the formless, and those actions can weave into ceremony.

⚡️Ceremonies usually are longer than rituals, and are an affirmation of some sort of transformation.

What does that say about coffee rituals/ ceremonies?

Coffee ritual is a mindful way of imbibing the plant; coffee ceremony is a way to alchemize what energy we started with to what energy we end with, through the support of coffee plant ally.

While there are many coffee rituals, there are only a few ceremonies known ancestrally & in present day. I find that surprising, and with that, I am committed to bringing both ritual & ceremony to our modern day lives.
