Dryden Family Farm

Dryden Family Farm We began in 1995 with 1 Saanen doe named Rosie. We added chickens, ducks, turkeys, and eventually started raising our own beef and pork.

We are mildly self sufficient and enjoy products from the farm and sharing this lifestyle with others.

I've been a bit busy with all of the Christmas shenanigans but am back on track to bring you the featured scent of my goat milk soap. This week we are looking at Rose Oil.
Rose Oil
Rose oil makes an excellent emollient (moisturizer), gently softening the skin.
Just inhaling rose oil is said by many to be relaxing. Some studies even suggest that it releases endorphins.
It has antiseptic, bactericidal, and anti-inflammatory properties which means rose oil can be a very valuable remedy for inflammation and irritation, including eczema and allergic rashes.
It is also known to have a regenerative effect on cell tissue, making it especially beneficial for dry, sensitive, or ageing skin. It can keep skin healthy, lubricated, and elastic.
Throughout history, rose oil has been used as a wound-healing ingredient and because of its regenerative effects, some people swear by rose oil as a means of reducing scarring.
My Rose Oil soap, Lemon soap, and Cedarwood soaps are all available at the 16th Street Roadside Stand in Post Falls. For all other varieties message me.

Soap fragrance spotlight: Lemon
I only use essential oils in my soaps therefore you get the benefits of those essential oils. Lemon essential oil has a long history of revitalizing moods and is a frequent additive to aromatherapy blends. It is known to relieve respiratory problems and help with acne. A 1999 study demonstrated that Lemon oil can help prevent oxidation on the skin’s surface. This means that it may be able to help even your skin tone and texture. It is an astringent and helps control oil production on the skin.
