This was the perfect way to end a chaotic Monday. Both Bonnet and Flower decided they would start hatching out their babies a few days early. I will never get tired of the excitement of new baby chicks!

Lately it's been crazy work hours for me, which means late night checks then heading straight to bed when I get home. That was supposed to be the game plan last night, instead I had a game of hide n seek with a cute little pullet that decided she wanted to scare me a little. It's never a dull moment with these little birds.

It's not very often we have a group of pullets in the coops. Right now we have at least 6! I think I put 2 more out from the brooder box this morning. I'm excited to see how these ones grow while I can, it's been a boys club around here so it's nice to change it up!

These little ones are ready to take over the bigger brooder box after the others got moved to a grow out coop. Everyone is enjoying more room to grow and move.

The latest batch of brooder babies got to explore their grow out coop for the first time last night. Safe to say they love their new coop. I am loving the newest color to our coops!

Happy Father's Day! If it wasn't for my dad's crazy idea to get our first rooster we wouldn't be having fun with these little birds. This has now turned into something we both enjoy. There has been some changes in the last few months to our rooster line up. These are the "fathers" of O.F. Mini Roosters, we still have Arkie, but we have added Ringo, and RJ to the mix.

Lily has been wanting to be back up on the roost so bad. She has been trying to get all 9 babies to jump up there with her for the last 2 nights. These little ones are only 3 weeks old and tonight they finally did it!

Stars lil ones are super curious, which really isn't a surprise. These are out of her and my favorite rooster Arkie, who is the sweetest so they have the friendliest parents we have.

It's crazy to think that all I have left in the grow out pens are all the last Oakie sons we will have. We kept 2 of his daughters early on so we still have his bloodlines but this is the last chance for goldens. Message me for info! ✈️
