Update on Gabby:
She’s on round the clock medication to relieve pain and inflammation.
Unfortunately if she moves a certain way she screams in pain. She is on strict kennel rest and only doing the bare minimum to hopefully relieve some discomfort.
This is only a 3 week plan and see how she’s going to do and if this is something we just maintain with life long medication . Unfortunately Gabby isn’t going to be how she was ever again but we are trying to figure out a plan for her current situation.
She does okay when she’s under a lot of pain medication but a few hours before the next scheduled dose she’s in a lot of pain. We are still carrying her up and down the steps for her to go to the bathroom ect .
We are continuing to have hope and hopes she can have the best quality life as possible until told otherwise.

We have had some sad news presented to us today .
Gabby who you all know and love and whom is my daughters best buddy suddenly lost control over her back legs and was screaming every time she went up or down the stairs or got up from a laying position. We checked for a snake bite, tick , injury EVERYTHING and couldn’t figure it out so I took her to our vet and unfortunately received bad results. Gabby unfortunately was born with this and she is now four years old and is now suffering from it. As you see in the first photo Gabby’s fine looks fine all the way to the start of the tail and where the arrow is you’ll see that it has fused together causing excruciating pain in her hind legs end and Loss of certain mobility.
Obviously gabby is an active farm dog and we look at quality of life. Where it’s at and how it is surgery unfortunately isn’t an option for her (per vets opinion) .
So what are the options?
Right now she is under very strict kennel rest
Along with Gabapentin and Rimadyl in hopes of relieving inflammation and pain.
He prescribed it for 3 weeks and hopefully 🙏 she gains some type of mobility back.
If not we will NOT be selfish regardless of how much we love and care about her.
Right now gabby does not have control over her bladder or hind legs so we will be there to give her all the help she needs to see if the medication will help.
She isn’t in any pain right now since giving her the medication and that’s a win for now.
Please do not come at us in anyway , we are doing what’s directed by our vet so no negative comments.
We are not asking for opinions just updating everyone on what’s happening with her.
We appreciate each and every one of you.

Holidays will soon be approaching and I like to plan ahead so has anyone taken these and dehydrated them and made a garland out of them? I’ll have more to harvest to add to it all.
