*** SOLD***

I have 8, just turned 2 year old, Nigerian Dwarf does available. They are all open and ready for breeding. A couple have blue eyes and some have moon spots as well. Moving to reduce numbers and since my breeding will be minimal I have too many younger stock.

PM if interested.

I would love to move them as one big lot but will be open to moving them in pairs as well. The majority will go unregistered but a couple can be registered for the registration fee costs.

They are located in Puryear, TN.

Baby it's cold outside ðŸŽķ but all are snuggled in nice and warm inside the barn on mid day checks.
Haven't posted in a while cause really there isn't much going on outside the normal routine. I didn't breed this year so everyone is just being happy fat goats doing goat things...eating and pooping ðŸĪŠ

Stay warm and dry during this winter storm! ❄ïļ ðŸĨķ

Haven't posted in a bit and it was yet again barn cleaning day. After giving the girls clean sheets I redid the way the hay feeders bars were done. The way they were the goats didn't really want to put their heads in to eat cause they couldn't lift them once in the feeder.
So changed to vertical slats and time will tell if I need to reduce the spacing between or if it works better on reducing hay waste so they don't pull their heads out as much.
I know nothing completely does away with it but every little bit helps when they throwing money on the floor ðŸĪŠðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚😂

We built a bunk feeder for the adult goats with some old 10ft gates and 2x6 we had laying around. I used 4.5 inch vinyl gutters from the hardware store so spent around 25 dollars for the 2 10ft sections and end caps. I shall do a video to share this evening at feeding time. Hopefully this makes feeding time easier for our farm sitter when the time comes 😀

The boys got some pic time as they felt very left out. They aren't doing a whole lot lately besides eating and laying about so really what is to photo ðŸĪŠ.
They felt differently about the situation 🙄

I like to periodically check the barn cameras to just check up on the goats throughout the day, sometimes they are inside sometimes they aren't.

Looks like this morning some are taking big naps. Ah the goat life.

Been a while since I have posted and thought I would provide an update on farm life.

We got our hay barn completed and have been busy filling it for the winter. We were able to get 400 bales put up before this heat wave came thankfully and will get the last half from second cutting when that happens if the weather continues to cooperate for my hay guy. The wet weather has been brutal for us all 😞.

Otherwise the girls and boys have been just hanging out living the goat life âĪïļ. Mostly they are out grazing or inside under/in front of fans right now ðŸĨĩ.
I only had 4 kid this year and no milking so my daily routine is mostly just maintenance and nightly feeding time so a much slower time and I must say I am really enjoying it.

We have been down sick the last week and I am feeling behind on chores. The barn really needs to be cleaned but since I can't do that just yet I was able to get the doe barn animals feet done at least.

While the yearlings were in getting feet done I also put their big girl collars on as lead training began today. They are too big for me to be picking up and carrying places so time to learn to be a dairy goats girls!

The only big thing we are doing this year for the farm is getting a hay barn built which would not be possible if it wasn't for the state funded grant program TAEP(TN Agriculture Enhancement Program). Every 2 years the state will help fund and build hay storage if you meet the requirements.
We qualified this year based on the number of goats we had up till recently so I guess having over 80 goats can pay off ðŸĪĢ😭ðŸĪĢ. Though I don't recommend ever having that many ðŸĪŠ

Putting them to work mowing this pen down some 😂😀

Pied Piper of goats 🐐😂

I was taking them to a smaller pen area that was in need of some mowing ahead of the storms later today. We over seeded our pastures yesterday so let's hope all our seed doesn't wash away too ðŸŦĪ
