✨ Sometimes community shows up in the most beautiful ways. ✨
A local Puyallup homeschool co-op recently wrapped up a reading program. The kids worked hard, read their books, and eagerly looked forward to the prize they had been promised. Unfortunately, the prize they thought would be available fell through at the last minute, leaving them with a group of deserving kids and no reward to celebrate their accomplishment.
We didn’t want to disappoint them.
So we reached out to some local businesses, hoping for a little help.
What happened next absolutely blew us away.
Within just a few days, these incredible locally owned businesses stepped up with generosity, kindness, and enthusiasm. Together, they helped us create an amazing prize pack that will allow us to celebrate these young readers and recognize all of their hard work.
To each business that donated, contributed, or simply said “yes” when we asked for help: thank you. Your support means so much more than free treats, activities, and gifts. You showed these children that their community cares about them, believes in their accomplishments, and wants to celebrate their success.
In a world that often feels rushed, you took the time to invest in kids you’ve never even met. That is something special.
We are incredibly grateful to live in a community filled with small businesses that care, give back, and show up when needed.
