Two pretty little ewe lambs sired by one of our rams. These girls as well as their mother have moved on to a new flock, but they’re doing great and growing exactly how we’d hoped. We always enjoy seeing updates from their new home.

Meet Rusty, our new farm dog and future sheep herder!
This little guy is already stealing hearts (and probably a few treats). We are so obsessed with him and can’t get over the million cute things he does a day!

He couldn’t have come at a better time as he’ll grow up alongside Apollo, Copper, and all our new ewe lamb additions. Although we love him for his big ears and tiny legs, we plan on teaching him how to work and help us in
hearding our sheep. We can’t wait to share videos of him learning the ropes and “helping” manage the flock.

May has been a big month for Copper State Sheep Company! We have added so many great genetics to our flock this month and couldn’t be more excited for the future of our breeding program 😄

Meet Copper — our new 2-year-old registered Painted Desert ram! That’s right — his name is already Copper, a perfect fit for Copper State Sheep Company!

We picked up this massive, impressive ram from our friends at Gila Painted Desert right here in Arizona. His horn development, color, and conformation are exactly what we’re building our trophy and breeding program around.

Copper is already settling in nicely and will be a fantastic addition to our lineup alongside our Crawdaddy ram lamb- Apollo.

Huge thanks to Trey at Gila Painted Desert for this outstanding ram!

We took a road trip to Texas this weekend to pick up our 4 newest members from !! One ram baby from Crawdaddy and three ewes from Orion 😁 We are beyond excited to be adding such great genetics to Copper State Sheep Company!

We enjoyed our quick trip through Texas and enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful parts of such an amazing state! We can’t wait to take another trip back soon 🤍

Big news for Copper State Sheep Company!

We are proud to announce that we are now Lifetime Members of the Painted Desert Sheep Society (PDSS) and Trophy Hair Sheep of America (THSOA)! 🎉

This is a huge step for our program! We’re committed to breeding hardy, desert-tough, trophy sheep right here in San Tan Valley, AZ.

Stay tuned — we have 33 weaned lambs on the ground and more exciting bloodlines arriving in the next few weeks.
