We do gift baskets! This basket was for a community auction so we filled it with useful items we make and some pretty extras like a dried flower bouquet and a bracelet made by Bailey.

We’re doing school supply shopping and I saw a cinnamon broom, so I’m ready for fall! This will likely be my first market in a long while and I can’t wait because it’s a beautiful venue and there will be lots of vendors for me to shop at.

We’ve been very busy on the farm behind the scenes with planting, keeping our chickens cool, and sustainability projects like tallow rendering for soaps and balms.

I’ve got persimmon soap cured and lots of samples cut, so let me know if you want to give it a try!

I don’t know how, but one of our hens laid this enormous egg. The one on the right is size large- the one on the left is size ostrich.

They have slowed down laying to keep up with this heat, but we have plenty of eggs for our regular deliveries. Come fall, we will restart hatching eggs and have chicks for sale again.

Annual trip to Georgia for Mercier Orchards peaches to make some vanilla peach jam. This batch of Madagascar vanilla has been extracting since July and smells amazing. Next up will hopefully be Mayhaw because we are slap out!

I have not been making anything! Instead we’ve been planning the final steps on the house and setting up the new garden. Here is a couple brief updates-

1. Caramel is still pregnant 😳

2. We are waiting to see what vegetables the horses left us from their garden break in, but we are hoping for okra, onions and corn soon. They killed everything else.

3. I’m making persimmon soap this week. My cousin showed me an article about it and apparently it helps with nonenal (old people) smell.

4. Hot chicks- the last of my chicken babies got too hot and I had to give a few baths for pasty butt. Fun.

Summer is here! We whipped up some cake pops for a kids event this weekend so we made sure to keep out the synthetic dyes. I love Sugar Art’s new natural gel food coloring line and Better Goods sprinkles.

Did Caramel have her baby yet? No, and we’re pretty sure she’s 11 months pregnant. But our C cow just had a calf!

A lot of the sunflowers Rob planted made it despite the lack of rain. You are welcome to pull off the road and pick yourself some! It’s the corner of CR 237 and NE 117th Terrace in Raiford.

I also have a ton of free range eggs for $3/dozen. Eat them, hatch them, let your kids play the egg toss game (very messy option) they are unwashed and unrefrigerated between 1-4 days old. I can meet in Raiford, Lake Butler or Starke.
