How to participate? From March 7-13, post your sandwich pic (The term "sandwich" is loosely defined and may be interpreted as a burger, burrito, or gyro) from a Downtown Raleigh Restaurant on social media using the hashtag #DTRSandwichWeek or submit online using a web form at Downtownraleigh.org/lunch. Keep in mind, the more lunch spots you support during Sandwich Week, the greater your chances to win.

All entries will be submitted to win not only gift cards but also, a grand prize winner will work with teams at A Place at the Table (@tableraleigh), State of Beer (@stateofbeernc), or the downtown location of Union Special (@unionspecialbread) to create or name a delicious sammie🥪😋.

Winners will be announced on March and contacted via social media/email used on web form. Good luck and of course, Bon appetit✨

Today is a perfect day to visit @coronatopizza! Terrific spot that specializes in Roman style fare. Their pizza dough is rolled very thin and the addition of extra virgin olive oil into the dough gives the crust more weight, flavor and a crispy cracker like crunch. This method really lets the fresh ingredients to shine. We tried their popular potato, sausage and pepperoni pies, all tasty options. The pizza sizes are great for one or if you want to share. FYI: @coronatopizza will no longer be serving alcohol. However, there’s a brewery in the same plaza, you can have drinks there and they'll bring your Coronato order to you.

You guys can’t sleep on @alexandteresas in Cary! Don’t be fooled by the facade, this diamond is totally worth it! As soon as you walk in, the ambiance makes you feel like you’re in Italy🇮🇹 Once seated, they offer complimentary bread, seasoned with spices, oil, and fresh rosemary🤤 For main dishes, we had the spaghetti and meatballs and the eggplant Parmesan, both absolutely delightful🙌🏼 We were in a food coma afterwards😂 Outstanding experience, we will certainly be back🎉

It’s Italian food Friday and I highly suggest you celebrate at @gravyraleigh! Great selection of popular Italian dishes made with fresh ingredients, friendly service and comfortable atmosphere. We tried the Chicken Parm, Tagliatelle Bolognese, Bruschetta, and Chicken Alfredo. Truly, a well-prepared delectable meal, beautiful presentation too. The garlic knots were so fluffy and buttery🤤 They have an outdoor seating area so perfect restaurant for date night! Best news of all, there’s a parking garage right next door! Visited @clydecoopersbbqraleigh, one of the longest-running BBQ restaurants in the state, with my family and we enjoyed their ribs and chopped vinegar-based BBQ pork tray. Trays come with coleslaw, hush puppies and fresh pork skins. Service was pretty good even though they were super busy. They also offer barbecue sandwiches, fried chicken, brisket, and combo platters. Nice option for a Saturday lunch, however keep in mind they’re closed Sundays and Mondays. They also accept credits cards now 💳! What’s your favorite BBQ place?

Happy Friday☀️ Wouldn’t it be awesome to wake up in paradise today🤩? Walk on golden stretches of sand and swim in beautiful turquoise waters😍🌊 A really famous Costa Rican saying is “Pura Vida” which translates to “pure life” or “simple life”. If you’re having trouble finding produce at the grocery store, NC State Farmers Market as well as all the other state operated Farmer’s Markets remain open. There are tons of vendors and lots of fresh produce. Great opportunity to support our local farmers during these trying times. However, I do want to remind you to be a smart social distancing shopper. Go to the market with a purpose and don’t hang out at the stands. Be mindful and keep your distance from other shoppers! Make sure to add to your list: try a fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade! They’re sugary and cold, pure bliss on a sunny day! 🍋✨ Disclaimer: video was recorded a couple months ago, when I would dress up and do my hair😂

We were surprised how much we loved Panchos Tacos Y Tortas! Blue tacos where awesome and very unique, my neighbors have asked for them again! Would love to hear your take on them too!!💞✨🤟🏼
