Our honey bees have officially begun producing honey, which means nectar is flowing and the colonies are thriving! Worker bees are visiting thousands of flowers each day, collecting nectar and storing it in the hive. Through a process of enzyme activity and evaporation, that nectar is gradually transformed into honey. This is one of the most exciting times of the season, and it’s just beginning!

Not a typical day in the apiary! The bees are hopefully staying warm in their hives! We cleaned off the snow, so the bees can get out when it warms up in a few days. We'll know then how they fared during the storm. Hope you're all staying warm and safe!
