We’ve had FAR too many days this summer feeling like she looks.
Completely heat frazzled.
Well OK, in fairness, she still looked insanely cute.
We have, on the other hand looked like entirely melted messes.
Relieved by the grace of the refreshing rains today. An inch here so far.

Fun memory of art from our lovely friend Bonnie Fogg, Art by Bonnie, who surprised us with this sweet watercolor gift of our barn, yaks, llama years ago.
We have numerous pieces of her award winning art hanging in our homes.
Honored to have this (I call) monarch inspired, one of one, with huge appreciation.
Was love at first sight when I saw it years ago❣️
She has these lovely fun card size options of her work too.
If you love longhorns, she was a TX lady for many years & has impressive art featuring them.
Along with all kinds of nature, equine etc.

U.S. President George W. Bush and Mongolian President Nambariin Enkhbayar inspect Yaks while visiting Ikh Tenger in Ulan Bator, Mongolia, November 21, 2005. Bush thanked Mongolia on Monday for sending troops to Iraq in a visit steeped in the traditional culture of a nomadic land that produced Genghis Khan. Who doesn’t appreciate some extra shade this very hot summer.
We purchased 3 sunshade sails (Amazon, lots of sizes, colors, options) to install in yak & llama areas for extra shade.
This first one serves a great dual purpose of giving the yaks extra areas to stay cooler in the shade.
Bonus it also blocks late afternoon sun under the yak working shed for ease of being in there (also open for them to lay in there under fans).

Almost as good as a pay day on the farm is a hay day.
40 + alfalfa mix bales on our 2nd farms fields about to be loaded up & stored in a barn.
Love this sight so much.
