🔥 I DIDN’T START MIDNIGHT RUN BBQ CO. BECAUSE I HAD MONEY. I STARTED IT BECAUSE I HAD AN IDEA I COULDN’T SHAKE.
And believe it or not, that idea started with a bottle of BBQ sauce.
I was tired of buying the same old stuff off the grocery store shelves. Different labels, different promises, but nothing that really stood out.
I remember thinking, “Hell, I could make something better than this.”
So I did what anybody with a little determination and a stubborn streak would do.
I started making my own.
No investors.
No big company backing me.
No fancy kitchen or team of people figuring everything out for me.
Just ingredients on the counter, recipes that didn’t always work, money out of my own pocket, and an idea that I wasn’t willing to give up on.
Some batches were good. Some weren’t worth keeping. And there were plenty of times I had to go right back to the drawing board.
But that’s the thing about building something from nothing.
Nobody sees the work that goes into it. They only see what comes out of it.
They don’t see the late nights, the money spent trying something new, the mistakes, or the moments when you wonder whether anybody is even going to give your product a chance.
And then somebody buys a jar.
Then somebody comes back for another.
Then somebody tells their friends.
And suddenly, that little idea sitting on your kitchen counter doesn’t seem so little anymore.
Today, Midnight Run BBQ Co. has four signature sauces, an award-winning flavor, and we’re taking the next step into catering.
What started as wanting better BBQ sauce is turning into smoked brisket, pulled pork, chicken, ribs, homemade-style sides, and the opportunity to feed families, wedding guests, and entire companies.
But here’s what means the most to me.
Every time somebody buys a jar, shares our page, recommends us to a friend, or trusts us with their event, they’re doing more than supporting another BBQ business.
They’re helping build something that started with absolutely nothing but an idea.
I’m not trying to become the next big corporate BBQ chain.
I want to build something people remember. Something my family can be proud of. Something that, years from now, I can look back on and say, “I built that.”
And I want to be able to say I did it without forgetting the people who helped get it off the ground.
So whether you’ve been supporting Midnight Run since the beginning or you’re just hearing about us for the first time, thank you.
Because there’s something pretty damn special about watching an idea turn into something real.
No investors. No silver spoon. No shortcuts.
Just a guy who got tired of bland BBQ sauce and decided to see how far a dream could go. 🔥
