I never imagined when I decided to plant a lavender field how calming it would feel to sit with the plants. Or the sweet community it would attract.

I imagined seeing the field of purple out my window.

I imagined cutting flowers to make small batches of sweet bath and body products.

I imagined feeding the bees.

When I’m facing a challenge I often say to the Universe, “Please make it better than I can imagine.”

My lavender fields were born from a challenge that made my stomach knot up with anxiety. A challenge I had not imagined when I moved to this land. (( a story for another day))

The plants and the planting healed the land and me.

Eight years later and it’s better than I could have imagined.
