ABIDING ACRES RED HOT J11 is a standout Red Devon bull that we acquired to use as a terminal cross on Longhorn cows. The Red Devon breed is the pinnacle of grass-fed, grass-finished genetics, a powerful foundation for an F1 program.

Next year starts now. Get your F1 breedings started while the timing is right.

We’re launching an F1 Fusion Futurity focused on enhancing the lean, high-quality beef that Texas Longhorns are known for.

By pairing Longhorn genetics with proven commercial beef breeds, this event will highlight which pedigrees and breed combinations produce the best-performing F1 cattle, utilizing the maternal and feed efficient characteristics of a longhorn cow with the high growth rates and carcass quality of modern beef genetics.

All entries will require recorded birth weights, helping build real data producers can use to make informed breeding decisions.

This futurity is about performance, transparency, increasing our access to USDA slaughter facilities and moving the industry forward together.

Congratulations to Soda Springs Longhorn Cattle Co. and Mile High Longhorns on their 2026 Class 11 Champion Bull, SSL Benelli.

He is a beautiful example of the Longhorn breed, and we’re proud to help recognize the credit these incredible animals and the hardworking breeders behind them deserve.

Be sure to join us next year at the 2027 Oregon Trail Sale, where SSL Benelli will be featured on a custom belt buckle.
