Kegged up 10 gallons of Kölsch today. Will be a great summertime beer, best drank out of a boot, I think.

Here it is. We came up with the Evolution Old Fashioned.

1 Brown Sugar cube
4 dashes Woodford's Reserve bourbon barrel bitters
Splash seltzer or club soda
4 oz Bulleit Rye
1 giant ice cube or 3 normal size ice cubed
Lemon twist

Dissolve sugar in bitters and seltzer. Add ice and rye. Stir. Add lemon twist. Enjoy.

We got great comments on our beer at Backwash. We took first place for style in Pale Ales. The next competition is Thirsty Boy in Carson City in January.

Two batches today. A traditional English bitter and an American Pale. Both sounded good for football season. I think soon, a pumpkin or holiday ale. It's getting close to that time.
