One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching a room full of women proudly show off a beautiful finished project they created with their own hands.

We had so much fun sewing these crossbody belt bags together, sharing laughs, learning new skills, and encouraging one another along the way. There is just something special about gathering around a table to create together.

I’m so excited to finally share this with you…

Over the past several months, I’ve been quietly working on something that has been on my heart for a long time, a quilting course designed specifically for homeschool students.

Foundations in Quilting
A 16-week homeschool elective for ages 10–18

This course was created to help students build real, practical skills through hands-on learning and creativity. Throughout the semester, students will learn sewing machine basics, quilting techniques, measuring and cutting skills, project construction, and so much more, while also building patience, confidence, and problem-solving skills along the way.

This is more than just a sewing class. It’s an opportunity for students to create something meaningful with their own hands and experience the satisfaction of learning a timeless skill step by step.

Multiple course options are available:
• Foundations at Home (independent learning)
• Foundations Community (supported learning)
• Foundations Studio Cohort (in-person mentorship)

Registration is officially OPEN and I would absolutely love to sew alongside your student this coming school year. The course will kick off in August, but you get instant access to two of my existing courses for FREE when you sign up so that kids can start learning today!!

I got these beautiful flowers from my friend Hannah .cottage.417 last night at the Republic Farmers Market. There is something really special about having fresh cut flowers in the house that brings a smile to my face.
