Crop update: we chopped corn silage, put it on a pile and covered it over Labor Day weekend

Last week we cut our 2nd crop millet, baled, and wrapped it and then we had a 5 way cover crop no till drilled into the stubble. The mix consisted of rye, oats, red clover, radish and turnips. We are really praying for good weather this fall for another 30, but hopefully 45 days so I can turn my cows out to graze when they come home from pasture!

Tomorrow is Dahila Day Sunny Mary Meadow

🥩Because the chuck roast burnt ends created so many questions last weekend; I’m bringing some for samples tomorrow!

🥩I will only have with a few packs of hamburger and a few packs of 4pack patties for sale to take home

🥩 I will be talking about something new! Offering 1/4s of beef; I have done this for years and years and I continually get asked about it. And note, if you commit to a 1/4 beef by Oct 15, then I will give you a gift card for a flower bouquet at Sunny Mary Meadow 2027 season!

🥩I also have some info on the hit of 2026, HOLIDAY BOXES. If you purchase 5 by Nov 15, you’ll be entered into drawing for a subscription at Sunny Mary Meadow next year!

🎃 I also grow pumpkins and provided the pumpkins for the photo backdrop and will have a trailer that’s loaded with good ones for sale!

You have a few more hours to get your tickets! And it includes a Dahlia bouquet, and there also will be a coffee cart in the garden and a fresh fall line up of clothes to shop through, you’d really be missing out if you’re not there!
