Basic Dahlia Tuber FAQS ✨

What is a tuber? Think “bulb” for tulips, but a tuber grows a dahlia plant

Plant: in full Sun after your last frost date

Spacing: Plant 4-6” deep and 12” apart (pots work just fine, too!)

Flowers: 1 tuber = multiple flowers per plant. Blooms in our climate (West Michigan) from late July through our first frost!

Extra tip: tubers can be dug up in fall and stored over winter. They will multiply in the ground and you have more tubers at the end of the season!

We’re launching our dahlia tuber sale! Who is ready for spring?! 🌸🥔

Offering on farm pickup if local to Kalamazoo, MI area April 27, or flat rate shipping, USPS.

All dahlias locally grown on our farm in West Michigan. Each tuber is personally divided, inspected & has a viable “eye.”They will be shipped in vermiculite or peat moss.

How to order: DM me your order. Venmo accepted.

First come first serve- I will be updating the quantities periodically.

*once you receive your order, please inspect your dahlias. Send a message with any concerns within one week.

That’s a wrap on the dahlia digging 🥔💪🏻

I’m ecstatic they did so well as we started out the season with them being eaten by voles & being behind with the drought.

*also huge shout out to my mom for her help digging in the rain! Always appreciate her help!

I can’t wait to share them with you all in the spring! 🩵🌸

We had a fairly *light* frost yesterday. I was able to capture some of the dahlia covered in it ❄️🩵

We’re already digging up tubers and prepping for the 2024 season. Happy fall, friends!
