How have the arts made a difference in your life?

I love our art and cultural festivals in St. Louis, the programs we send our kiddo to, and I love that I was able to write a book with the help of other moms and support from the Regional Arts Commission!

I don't think we give the arts enough credit for improving lives!

I'm asking because tomorrow on Today in St. Louis, I'll be asking the question, "How can we save the arts?"

There are so many organizations (including The Very Asian Foundation) that are struggling to raise funding right now.

VAF buys books for schools across the nation, the Philippines, and Canada. And we host the Lunar New Year Art show in St. Louis and raise money for creatives. Oy, the future is bright, but it's a little daunting... and I am just part of one small, grassroots org.

Let me know what you think, and I'll try to share some of your answers tomorrow, too.
