I ABSOLUTELY love and adore this! ✨ For four years, this business was just a dream in my head. I pleaded with a prior job to take a shot at it—to set up at weddings, birthdays, the fair, and Christmas in the Depot—but it was shot down every single time. Still, I knew it could be something amazing. I built mockups out of popsicle sticks, drew it over and over, and filled online shopping carts only to delete them out of fear. I ended up staying for almost 4 years.
After almost dying of eclampsia, I realized I wanted a different life, though I wasn't entirely sure what that looked like yet. Then a few weeks later, I woke up one day with total clarity. I KNEW that job wasn’t for me anymore, so I walked out. My daughter deserved better. Her dad is wonderful and works hard every day, but we both wanted something different for our family.
Soon after, I finally got my first chance at the Expo Hall, and it was incredible! The month leading up to it was a whirlwind of testing recipes, inventing drink names, and drawing out plans by hand. It took me four months just to find the perfect name. In the end, I just looked at my baby and KNEW it had to be named after her. Her nickname was absolutely perfect for it.
My daughter is the absolute ONLY reason I pushed through the fear. I want to give her the time, energy, and home she deserves. From the stand itself to the chalkboard menu, I hand-built every single bit of this. I spent a month painting and tweaking the tiniest details. Now? I’m ready to do it all over again with my camper! 🚐 Once it is finished, we can go out every single day together as a family to work.
Every moment has led to this. I love the retro feel, and I know if my adoptive mom were here today, she’d be praising me louder than anyone. Every visit isn’t just about buying a delicious drink; it is supporting our family, our dream, and the renovation of our 1970s-style home! Thank you all for supporting this dream!
