Dear valued Customers,

We are writing to provide you with an important update regarding meat orders that were pre-purchased or pre-ordered through K&R Farm & Farm Store.

Unfortunately, our business has filed for bankruptcy due to rising operating costs, including livestock, equipment, and fuel. Our business has suffered losses that we could not recover from.

We have worked tirelessly since May of 2020 to build and operate a reputable local business that was something we hoped would thrive for years to come.

We never imagined that we would be in this situation.
In addition to our meat delivery service that we have operated since May of 2020. We also operated a storefront located at 942 Spanish Grove Dr., Richmond, KY for the past 2.5 years.

Alongside this, we operated a mobile setup at the Madison County Farmers Market in the summer months over the past several years.

Before filing for bankruptcy, we attempted multiple avenues to recover our business to fulfill orders. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful.

We are writing to provide an important update regarding meat orders that were pre-purchased or pre-ordered through K&R Farm and Farm Store.

K&R Farm and Farm Store has unfortunately closed permanently. Due to unforeseen circumstances, K&R Farm and Farm Store will not be able to fulfill the affected orders.

We understand this is disappointing and inconvenient. Customers who paid for orders that will not be fulfilled will receive additional information in the coming weeks regarding the process for making a claim for the return of money paid for those unfulfilled orders.

It is important that customers verify that we have their current contact information. If your mailing address, phone number, email address, or other contact information has changed since placing your order, please notify us so that future information regarding the claim process can be sent to the correct location.

At this time, customers should keep any receipts, invoices, order confirmations, payment records, messages, or other documents relating to their order. Those materials may be needed as part of the claim process.

Please understand that we are working to address this matter in an organized and responsible manner. We are not ignoring the situation, and we are not attempting to avoid our customers. Additional instructions will be provided as soon as the claim process is available.

Real talk. If you all are interested in beef shares ( whole, half, quarter, etc.) from us. Take advantage of the current pricing. We can't stay at our current prices any longer unfortunately. The cattle market is soaring. New prices will be posted on Friday. That is just the reality of the current cattle market in the United States. This isn't a sales tactic.

People keep talking about the new world screw worm and how it's made its way into Texas. I don't know what the outcome of that will be. But if the national cattle inventory gets lower than its current extreme low. It's just going to drive prices higher.

Why does the national cattle market matter on a local level? Well, if you can sell a cow at the stockyards for more than beef going in the freezer. Most local farmers are just going to drop them off at the sale barn and collect a check.

Offering farm to table meat is a logistical beast. People have no idea. If Joe down the road can avoid that and make more money with a much simpler process. He's definitely going too. Who wouldn't?

Which is exactly what the government and the big four want if you want my personal opinion. To choke us all out. But, what do I know....
