So my first batch of kombucha finished its first brew...set it up for second brew which is when it gets flavor and carbonation. 2 bottles with rosemary and mint...1 bottle with green apple. Will check in 2 to 4 days.

Started second batch of kombucha...this one is being made with gunpowder green tea (first one was with ceylon black tea). 8 to 10 days to be ready for 2nd brewing.

So far....it's still alive. Lol.

Woo Hoo...checked the hive today.....top hive is already getting heavy from nectar and pollen collection.....but I saw the Queen in the brood chamber happliy brooding with her little entourage! She is the biggest queen I have had yet....this hive requeened itself late last summer....and she is awesome!

Had a good chuckle today. Was buying goat feed, which comes in 50 lb bags. Had two of them on my cart as well as some shavings for hen house etc. Took them to the vehicle and was getting ready to put them in the car. Set the brake on the cart. Put shavings in trunk. As I was walking to get goat feed bags, a gentleman walks up and asks if I need help. I tell him thank you but no..I've got it. He asks if I am sure because those bags look heavy. I tell him I do it all the time..I am used to it but I really appreciate his offer. He Says okay and walks off.

My chuckle? Where were the offers of help when I was wrestling 50 pound children into car seats after carrying them around in the store because they fell asleep?

Still....it's nice to know gentlemen exist and are willing to offer and willingly accept no thank you as well.

By the way....I was wearing one of my favorite shirts which has Proverbs 31:25 on it.
