Sergio Elia's winemaking journey has taken him all over the world. After working his first harvest in Tuscany he traveled the wine world from the Barossa Valley to Napa Valley, from Burgundy to Barolo, where he worked for seven years, as well as in Rioja and Georgia.

In 2018, he returned to Puglia to establish his own winery, investing in the Valle d’Itria, the land where he was born and raised. Cantina Elia was founded with the aim of enhancing the territory, combining local identity with the most innovative harvesting techniques acquired through years of study and international experience. One of the features that makes the winery unique in the area is its underground barrel cellar and amphora room, where the magic of wine is preserved.
