Faith's Scrumptious Ambitions Faith asked for an apartment for her 17th birthday, while still in high school. She has Down syndrome and a LOT of dreams. are important life skills for anyone.

We are helping her reach her goal of independent living by harnessing her love of cooking & baking to support her life ambitions. Specially Abled - Owned Business producing family favorite recipes. Faith asked for an apartment for her 17th birthday (2021), as a sophomore in high school. As parents, we were shocked by her request, but also encouraged by her ambition. tered Faith's Scrumptious Ambitions as a LLC. Faith and Dana Smyth earned a Texas Food Handler's license. We are currently operating the business under the Texas Food Cottage Law. The lessons involved in following a recipe (reading, comprehension, measuring, speech/communication, team work, kitchen safety, etc.) Repetition of these skills enhances Faith's education on many levels. The best part is the final product - Smyth family favorite foods! Faith is eager to work hard and reach her full potential. Faith received her largest cookie order EVER. 1,000 cookies for the ROCK Cowgirl Bruncheon on 11/4/23. We prepared cookie dough for weeks leading up to the event and our dear friend, Heather Biagas, owner of Lil’ Mama’s Kitchen, completely saved the day by opening her commercial kitchen to us and running her 6 ovens, baking 432 cookies at once! We could not have completed this order without her help. Thank you ROCK and Heather!!!!

Yesterday morning, Faith was invited by The Playful Child to set up shop at their fundraiser, Pictures with Santa. What an amazing organization founded by Julie Damian, in memory of her beautiful son, Kade.

Drove Faith to the bank today so she could trade out $5 bills for $1 bills to make change for her next show on 9/10. She’s a rock star counting out stacks of 10 $1s so we can paper clip them and count by 10s.
All of these exercises build her independence and reinforce what she’s learned at school. So proud of our girl!

Faith had a wonderful time last night and had two extra special visitors. Thank you officers (I know I have their ranks wrong - my apologies) Arnhamn and Alkire for supporting Faith's Scrumptious Ambitions! We love our community of first responders and especially the support from the Pflugerville Police Department. 💜
On a side note, after the show was over, Sierra, the event organizer pulled me aside and let me know Arnhamn asked where he could find Faith….she wondered what Faith had done to get a visit from Pflugerville PD. 🤣😳😆

Oh this girl! She’s come SO far in the 9 months she’s been doing this. It’s still very much a partnership, but with each batch of goodies made and each market set up, she does more and more on her own. Such proud mama moments!!!
