It’s bouquet-making day over here! We’re bringing these beauties to the Ridgefield Farmers Market tomorrow.

Hard to believe we only have four market days left. As usual, the summer has flown by so you only have a few more chances to grab our flowers.

Come say Hi and pick your favorite color combination. We’re in Davis Park from 9-2.

Today was our last delivery of Summer Subscriptions. I’m always kind of sad to see them end. I love that they bring people so much joy. I went with an end-of-summer moody vibe today. Kind of reminds me of the blackberry bushes that are exploding with fruit right now. What do you think?

Morning dahlia harvest. I’m always slightly worried I won’t have enough flowers. I probably need to stop worrying.

Happy bees. Pretty flowers. It’s a good combo.

Flower farmer confessions: I post a lot of pictures of beautiful flowers. But the truth is, there are also a lot of failures. This year, I started 6 varieties of Lisianthus. I had about 100 seedlings of each. That should be 600 plants. But after planting out, they’ve bit the dust a few at a time. I might have about 150 left. Also, they are just starting to bloom. Slowly. I’m calling it a crop failure. It’s disappointing because Lisianthus need so much babying as seedlings and because they’re a high price flower. They also bloom at a time when you’re looking for something new to add to your lineup. Plus, they’re so beautiful. The disappointment is huge. But lessons were learned. Better luck next year. At least I’ll have a handful.

Definitely not shying away from color in this week’s Farmer’s Market bouquets. I think I used them all. 😂

Which one speaks to you? Personally, I’m ready for the bold color combinations of fall.

Come pick your favorite tomorrow at the Ridgefield Farmers Market in Davis Park. We’re there from 9-2 with a lot of other cool small business owners.

A giant “Thank You” to Allison and Ben at Dovetail Cellars for hosting another Bloom Bar. Our group tonight was small but mighty. The creativity blew me away (as always). I love seeing how everyone puts things together that I never would have thought of. Creativity. Joy. Inspiration. Collaboration. A perfect way to spend an evening… and delicious wine is always a plus.
