Took a break from renovations at the new place and got a start on the dahlia dig. Doesn’t look like much, but this is what flowers for next year look like. So much nicer to do it in the sunshine than the rain.

We’ve been keeping a little secret around here…

We’re moving the farm! It’s been a long, hard year of not knowing the farm’s future. There are several reasons we’re leaving our current location and it’s a little heartbreaking to pour so much love, energy, and sweat into something and then have to leave it behind.

But we’re so excited about what lies ahead. We’ve found a great spot just a little north of us in Battle Ground. The house needs some updating and the land needs some prepping. It will be a bit of work to create a flower farm (again), but I like to think I know a little more than I did the first time and will make smarter choices.

I’m not totally sure what the future of our farm looks like, but I hope we’re able to continue sharing the beauty. Hope you’ll follow along in the journey.

We’re moving our peony field and some of the roots are looking perfect for dividing. And now is a great time to plant them. Each bare root has 3-5 eyes.
