This week, we're delivering a Breakfast PIY! Sometimes called "Eye of the Bull", this specialty pizza can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You’ll love the combination of flavors: the crispy Pancetta adds intense flavor and texture and the mushrooms, Parmigiano-Reggiano, lightly drizzled truffle oil and soft baked egg complement it perfectly. Make sure each slice gets a little bit of the yolk for maximum flavor (we like double up by adding an extra egg yolk– if you do, use 2 egg yolks and only 1 egg white).

Can you take the heat? (Spoiler alert : you don't have to!). This week we’re cooking up a Sausage, Peppadew & Hot Oil PIY. This specialty pizza features fennel sausage, peppadew peppers and the unique hot oil flavor made famous by Connecticut’s own Colony Grill. Don’t worry if you prefer to keep things mild – while peppadews have a little heat, they are first pickled in simple sugar & vinegar. You can also control how much hot oil goes on your PIY before it goes in the oven, or even add the oil separately by the slice once it’s cooked. Whatever your preference, this pizza is sure to be a hit!

Italy meets east Asia in this white shiitake mushroom pizza. This pizza combines parmigiano-reggiano, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese with shiitake mushrooms and fresh garlic scapes from our local organic Farm, the Hickories. The garlic scapes are the flower bud of the garlic plant that are used to thicken the garlic, thus a short season treat! This fusion of flavors comes together perfectly, we're convinced that even those who don't usually eat mushrooms will enjoy this one.
