This Saturday, September 5, we will be at the Guyton Farmers Market from 8am-12pm with fresh cut okra and peppers and lots of homemade pickles and jellies. We hope to see you on the trail in Guyton. We will try to open the store on Little McCall by 1pm once we take down in Guyton.

As the garden makes its transition to Fall and we wait on that delicious produce, I have added a few new canned items to to store. The Cinnamon Pear Jelly, just screams fall to me. We also have Peach topping that goes great on pancakes or over ice cream. The BBQ sauce is ready for whatever you have on the grill or smoker. We continue to have plenty of jalapeños for making poppers on the grill and of course lots of OKRA both cut and whole!!

Finally a break from the hot weather! Come on out and get some fresh okra! We have plenty. We also have lots of homemade canned items and fresh herbs from the garden. Looking to stock your freezer? And now the imported frozen blueberries have been recalled. Buying from your local growers is much safer. I don’t advertise our frozen produce but I may need to start offering it. We do have frozen corn, blueberries, potatoes, and okra. If you are looking for frozen, please ask when you visit the store.

We won’t open the store today due to a medical emergency. It looks like Ken was bitten by a bad spider on his lower leg. We will see what ER doctor has to say.

**Update** The Dr says Ken should be okay. He sent him home with antibiotics. If it was a black widow, Dr said it will get better over the next few days. If it was a brown recluse then it could get worse and need attention. Never thought I would be hoping for a black widow. lol. We will open on Sunday to make up for today. Please come on out. We have way too much okra!!!
