What a busy day this has been!!! Stormy had his first training lesson today and learned there are good kinds of attention and the bad kind. He is a mouthy little thing and I learned how to help redirect his energy. Thank you Fiona!!! Now for a week of homework😁🐎

Well this is Stormy. He is about a 9-10 year old tiny pony. We took him in because he has no interaction with other herd animals and really has no training at all. After his owner and I talked we felt he would have more company here at SMK. I will be making our calls tomorrow to a trainer who works with tiny ones. The farrier has already seen him (that's how I found it about him) and he will see the vet after he gets settled in a bit.

No matter that it is hot as heck with a 106° heat index, when the Silkies and the Polish girls need their houses cleaned, you clean their houses 🤷🏼 Oh ladies, the rent is due and you have clean nesting boxes for eggs tonight😁 don't make me evict you😂

When you get to go out and pick your own zucchini, squash, soy beans(edamame), Cherokee, romas and cherry tomatoes. Plus fresh eggs💜 What a great way to start the day!!!

🪙 This Memorial Day, a single penny says more than words ever could.

Today we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. At cemeteries across the country, you’ll find coins left on headstones — each one carrying a silent message of respect and remembrance.

A penny means: “I was here. This hero has not been forgotten.”

A nickel means: "We trained together."

A dime means: "We served together."

A quarter means: "I was there when they died."

On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember those who never came home. Their sacrifice made our way of life possible.

We will never forget.
