Many people ask me “What is poppyseed?”

Poppyseeds come from the poppy flower. Once the poppy flower blooms and its petals fall off, a seed capsule forms. Inside this pod, thousands of tiny, kidney-shaped seeds mature and dry.

Many countries in Europe including Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, etc use poppyseed in breads, pastry, and desserts.

Our poppyseed snails (makový slimák 🐌) use a delicious poppyseed paste filling that’s swirled with our soft sweet dough.

This Sunday stop on by where we are celebrating fermented foods! Fermented foods are beneficial to having a happy healthy gut, boosts your immunity and has been linked to lower inflammation. Things like yogurt, kombucha & kimchi sourdough, cheeses and more! There will also be great tunes and activities for the kids.
