…but this is exactly why I still make time for random Wednesdays like this.

No crowds. Perfect water. A little reminder that life goes by fast if you keep waiting for “someday.” 🤘

You see a home run. We see 14 months of struggle, a comeback… and a smile.

Rehab.
Doubt.
Setbacks.
Days he wondered if he’d ever get back to being himself.

The home run was special. The smile was better!

As a dad, I’m grateful for the journey. As a believer, I’m grateful for God’s timing. And after working a lifetime to create the freedom to be present for moments like this, I don’t take a second of it for granted.

Front yard project is finally done… and the pressure washer decided I needed a souvenir 😅

Yard came out awesome.
Arm? Not so much.

Day 3 on the water… maybe I should stay home. 🎣

That thought disappeared pretty quick once the sun came up.

Most people are sitting in traffic right now staring at a clock.
Meanwhile I’m out here chasing fish before breakfast with a boat full of snacks and bad decisions. 🚤☀️

You grind hard for enough years and eventually random weekdays start looking a little different.

A bad day on the water is still better than a good day at work… any day.

Nobody talks about the maintenance part of building your dream life 😂

Years ago I thought:
“Man… all these windows are gonna look amazing.”

Fast forward to today…
I’m outside cleaning screens for half the afternoon.

Still worth it though.

Another board meeting on Wednesday…
Only difference now is these meetings involve docks, wake boats, train horns, sunshine, and trying not to lose a hat at 35 mph. 😂☀️🚤
I spent a lot of years chasing “busy.”
Now I’m chasing good weather, good people, loud music, and days like this.

Retirement board meetings definitely hit different.
