Itโs 2:17 a.m. ๐
The world is asleep.
The neighborhood is quiet.
Peaceful. Calm.
And thenโฆ
I heard it. ๐๐
Was it a leaf?
Yes.
Was it suspicious?
Also yes.
People donโt understand the pressure of being a Great Pyrenees. While everyone else is dreaming about snacks and vacations, I am on NIGHT SHIFT. Security. Surveillance. Emotional support for the entire block. ๐๐จ
That sound? Couldโve been wind.
Or a squirrel.
Or a criminal mastermind testing my boundaries.
Better safe than sorry.
So I bark.
Not a small bark.
Not a polite bark.
A full, chest-powered, mountain-guardian, echo-through-the-neighborhood bark. ๐
Mom comes running outside whisper-screaming,
โPLEASE STOP. Itโs nothing.โ
Nothing?
NOTHING???
Maโam, I detected movement at 47 yards. I saw a shadow shift. The moon blinked weird. This is not โnothing.โ This is potential chaos. ๐ค
I bark again. For emphasis.
Somewhere, a neighbor sighs.
Somewhere else, a baby wakes up.
And I stand there proudly like, โYouโre welcome. Area secured.โ ๐
You call it annoying.
I call it dedication.
Because if you think Iโm going to let the darkness winโฆ
You clearly donโt know who runs this yard.
And I will absolutely do it again tomorrow. ๐พ๐
