Weekly Updates 5/11-5/17 - PLEASE READ

On sale this week are our Sirloin Tip steaks normally priced at $12.50/lb on sale this week for $11.50/lb.

Thursday 5/14 we will be at the IL Products Expo Farmers Market at the Fairgrounds (The Shed) from 3-7:30.

Saturday 5/16 Farm is open 1-4

Important Updates:
Baby chicks arrive this week! We have 300 little bundles of joy which will be in the polebarn with us on display! Come out and see the babies and fill your freezers!

We will not be doing fresh never frozen turkeys this year. Our processor can not get us in for our processing the week of Thanksgiving. Now this doesn’t mean we can’t do turkeys it just means we will process a week early and have to freeze them and you will have to thaw them. I need your input. We can scratch turkeys for 2026 or we can process a week early. Totally up to you guys.

Ayers Farms is going to be offering pork soon! Be on the lookout for our pork launch! Ideally I would like to have product before the end of the month!

New hamburger flavors being added!!!! Garlic Parmesan, Bacon Cheddar, and Feta Spinach. I should have these by the end of the month as well!

Sirloin Tip Steak is a lean and flavorful cut of steak cut near the sirloin on on the leg also known as the knuckle. Our steaks are thick cut at 1.25" thick...

Welcome to the Farm little one. ALSO - if you see a white chicken on our farm with scabs and looks as if she was mauled. She was, by our roosters. She’s on the mend, but looks ugly, but she’s healing! I think she startled some yesterday.

Weekly Updates & Sale Information

Hi everyone! I have been a little MIA this week, but it’s only because I have so many things I get to share with you!!

First - This weeks sale Saturday & Sunday 1-4

Our sale item is going to be 10% off ground beef! We need to clear this ground beef out!!! Plus a lot of people missed the last sale. So don’t miss out on this one!!!

We are soon launching a partnership with a local butcher and will be offering pork (brats, steaks, ribs, roasts) at Ayers Farms! - Let us know what you want to see first!

Our meat birds were delayed, but are arriving the week of May 11th. We expect to take them in July. We are only getting cuts this time. We have plenty of whole birds in stock.

Turkeys will arrive in June like last year and I will post a preorder on those when they arrive. I ordered 50 this year and will be offering cuts after they are processed.

As many of you know Ayers Farms is transitioning to organic in our row crops. With that comes more opportunity for us to share the love we have in our farm with you and your family. In the next couple weeks I will be planning family activities around our farm. The first thing on my list is building bat boxes. Did you know that one bat can eat 1000-1200 insects in one hour? That’s a whopping 6000-8000 bugs in a night. Bats are a a fantastic alternative to chemical pesticides. It’s a win/win for us, growing a bat habitat while also preserving our growing crops from pests and in addition sharing valuable knowledge with families on farming with nature instead of against it!

Lastly - Farmers Market Season is upon us!!!

It’s literally my favorite time of year again!! Farmers Market season! Starting May 14th we will be at the Fair grounds from 3-7 every Thursday. Then coming in June we will be downtown Saturday Mornings from 8-12:30. Then be back at the farm from 1-4 for normal scheduling at the farm!
