The search for Rochester’s best desserts is officially on!

My wife and I stopped by White Rabbit Dessert Experience last week and tried the apple pie and the strawberry crepe. Both were excellent, although a little on the pricey side. Still, it was a fun treat and I’d definitely go back for a special occasion.

Today’s stop on my Rochester food tour was Mediterranean Kebab House in Henrietta.

Went with the Chicken Gyro Plate and it did not disappoint. Flavorful chicken, great rice, fresh sides, and a portion size that could easily be two meals for some people.

Have you been there? What’s the best thing on the menu that I need to try next?

Continuing the search for the BEST chicken wings in Rochester


This round took me out to Dirty Dave’s in Scottsville. Classic dive bar vibe, but the wings deliver.

My go-to was the hot BBQ—great balance of heat and flavor.

Also hard to beat Wing Wednesday at 75 cents each.

Tried HALAL-N-OUT for the first time


Went with the jerk chicken platter—good flavor, plenty of food, and prices were very reasonable. Definitely a solid first impression.

Feels like one of those spots where you’ve gotta go back and try more of the menu.

Tried Chick Magnet this time.

First thing—these fingers are HUGE. Definitely not skimping there.

Also went with the loaded nest
 solid choice and worth trying if you’re going.

So where does Chick Magnet rank for you?
