Our event days are like your wedding day - we don’t usually eat. 😂 But today was such a long one, we couldn’t skip it and these five dollar hot dogs from the cutest trailer were the perfect midday fuel to keep us going. Sixteen years ago today, I got divorced.

I don’t regret being married (have you met my kids??), and I don’t regret getting divorced either.

I feel lucky to have this life. But I’ve also worked hard to build it.

I think I’m still the same person I was back then - content, curious, ambitious, adventurous. Maybe even more so now.

Maybe not the life I expected - but absolutely one I love.

Motherhood is beautiful and messy and exhausting and hilarious and overwhelming all at once. Some days feel magical, some feel impossibly long, and most are a mix of both. I question myself sometimes, wonder where the years are going, and somehow blink and realize my kids are becoming incredible humans right in front of me.

Being their mom has stretched me, softened me, humbled me, and changed me in every possible way. I may end most days running on caffeine and chaos, but I wouldn’t trade this role for anything. So grateful for these two and for every little moment that makes up this wild, exhausting, wonderful life. 💛
