Say hello to our one and only 🍅 🍅

Last year our garden was thriving by this point, this year we have one lone Charlie Brown tomato plant. The weather has been unpredictable, work has kept us from being in the garden daily, and we tested the organic soil we had brought in (surprise, Surprise, the ph level is off).

So here's your reminder not to quit because things don't work out the way you hope. We are always learning 🙏

100% farm-to-table meal!

Local pork, veggies, homemade French bread, and compound butter I made with our leftover garlic scrapes. Fed all 4 of us with some leftovers for about $20!

The chickens are still producing strongly! The heat is about to kick in full-time so I know they'll start slacking soon.

I truly love attempting to grow our food. Sometimes it works out, other times it doesn't. This is my first garlic harvest and I ended up with 44 bulbs!!

It's fascinating to watch one tiny clove turn into this. It's so easy to take for granted how blessed we are to go to the store and purchase practically any food we want at any time of year. We can become so complacent with convenience. I am so grateful to those who farm for us all!
