Every day is a good day to love a horse. ❤️🐴 Happy National I Love Horses Day!

Every year on July 15, National I Love Horses Day celebrates one of humanity’s most admired and enduring companions. Horses have carried travelers across distant lands, worked alongside farmers, transported entire civilizations, and stood beside soldiers during some of history’s darkest chapters.

Yet their importance reaches far beyond transportation and labor. Horses are intelligent, sensitive, and deeply social animals capable of forming powerful relationships with both other horses and humans. Today, they remain part of equestrian sports, therapy programs, ranch life, cultural traditions, and the lives of countless people who simply find peace in their presence.

Their strength can appear almost intimidating, but it exists beside remarkable grace and vulnerability. A black horse emerging from the mist seems to embody that contradiction perfectly: wild yet calm, powerful yet elegant, familiar yet mysterious.

I Love Horses Day is an opportunity to spend time with a horse, learn about responsible care, support an equine rescue, or simply celebrate the beauty of these extraordinary animals.

Event Update

The Tribute to Thomas Fundraiser has been moved to a larger venue to accommodate the incredible outpouring of support from our western community.

Our hearts continue to be with Rachel, Thomas’s family, and everyone whose lives he touched. We are grateful to see so many people coming together to honor his memory and support those he loved.

We are pleased to announce that we found an arena that can acommodate the awesome response to the Tribute to Thomas Fund Raiser! Read below for all the details. Registration will be linked here on Friday by 8:00 am.
Location: Buddy and Edile Lightsey Arena in Caldwell, Tx. (next to the Burleson County Expo and 20 miles west of the Brazos County Expo Center)
Events: Clinic- July 31 Show Aug. 1st
Clinic Cost: $200 for 4 hours and 3 clinicians
Clinic times: Beginners 8:00-12:00 Advanced: 12:45-4:45
Clinicians: Matt Turner Performance Horses:Flag Work
Matlock Rice Performance Horses: Reining
Jeremy Dull Horsemanship: Trail and Stock Horse Pleasure
Show: 8:00 Youth- 1:00 Adults
Cost: Class $15/ Office fee $10/ Ground fee $15 or stall fee $35 per day/ RV $40. There are 80 stalls available and 40 RV spots

Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, sacrifice, and the enduring American spirit. We honor those who have served and continue to protect the liberties we enjoy each day.

As the Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo Sweethearts, we’re proud to represent our community and carry on Western traditions with Sparkle and Speed. From the arena to our hometown, we celebrate the values that bring us together and the freedom that makes it all possible.

The western community is more than competition, it’s family. ❤️

It is with heavy hearts that we share this opportunity to support one of our own. Thomas Clifford and his fiancée, Rachel Williams, were both members of the Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo Sweethearts family. Following Thomas’s tragic passing, the horse community has come together to support the difficult journey ahead.

We encourage everyone who is able to participate in this special fundraiser clinic and horse show or simply share this event. It is during times like these that the western community shows what it truly means to stand beside one another.

Please keep Rachel, their families, and all who knew and loved Thomas in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️🐴

The horse community is known for supporting each other. We have a chance to support one of our long time riders, Rachel Williams. Her fiance, Thomas, was killed in a tragic accident. Tejas Ranch Horse Show Association, Greater Houston Quarter Horse Association, Jeremy Dull Horsemanship, and Matt Turner Performance Horses have joined together to produce a clinic, July 31, and show, August 1 at Still Creek Arena in Bryan, Tx to raise money to help her on her journey to heal.
Clinic: $100 for 4 hour clinic
Novice: 8:00-12:00 Advanced 12:30-4:30
Jeremy Dull- Trail & Stock Horse Pleasure
Matt Turner- Reining & Flag Work
Show: $15 a class/ $10 office fee
Youth 8:00/ Adults 1:00
