This an extremely unique one of a kind program where children actually get to feed, care for livestock, and learn how a farm runs. All ages are welcome. I am usually juggling 3 to 5 things at once during the summer. From running my own business, a farm, a household and raising two young girls. This week the time stopped a little bit as we lost both of our Toms within a few days of each other. They were kind, laid back and spent many hours teaching children about livestock avian care. Surprisingly, turkeys bond closely with their owners especially if you have them from birth. They always ran up to me when I walked out of the house, and closely followed for treats. Timmy loved laying in front of the fan in the barn. Thank you Titus and Timmy for your laid back attitudes, love and memories. You will be missed. It’s hard loosing farm animals. They become family very quickly.

We take pride in teaching children about animals and how we grow food. I’ve been working hard on having a vegetable garden to teach in, and this year I am finally reaping the rewards!
PlZ double check on your animals today. This is the day when the largest number of lost pets happens ALL year. I will have to give my horses something to keep them calm as they seriously hurt themselves last year trying to run away from the fireworks.
Make it a happy 4th of July. Be certain your pets are safely inside your home during fireworks. So many are lost every year.
There is no camp tomorrow for the Fourth of July. We will make up the day this Friday.

Baby Chick Hack! Use an old mop to simulate a mother hen! This little guy was crying for his mom nonstop, so I gave him the mop to snuggle under.
