Hey Pound Cake besties I will be here with all my sweetness! As the saying goes the only thing better than a rich buttery decadent delicious slice of pound cake, is another slice🤗

🔥 We’re going to have some FIRE businesses in the park, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience them!

From food and sweet treats to unique products, community resources, and local entrepreneurs, our vendors are bringing their best to EmpowerED Freedom Fest on June 20th.

We’re incredibly grateful for each business and organization that said “yes” to being part of the first city-approved Juneteenth celebration in Fate, Texas. Their support helps create a day filled with culture, connection, community, and empowerment.

Make plans to come out, shop local, network, and show these amazing businesses some love. Be sure to follow their pages, visit their booths, and support them long after the event is over!

SATURDAY:

🦅 Blackland Prairie Raptor Center | 10:30 AM–1:30 PM
Meet live birds of prey and learn about the incredible hawks, owls, and other raptors that call North Texas home. The Blackland Prairie Raptor Center will be bringing educational ambassador birds and sharing information about raptor rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation.

📚 Garland Public Library | 11 AM–2 PM
Stop by to sign up for a free library card (with a valid photo ID) and learn about summer reading programs, events, activities, and resources available at Garland libraries.

SUNDAY:

🌺 FREE Moana Hula Party | 12:30 PM–1:00 PM
Our Moana Hula Party is back after being postponed due to rain! Kids can learn fun hula moves, dance with Moana, enjoy a community dance party, and stick around for photos and a meet-and-greet.

🕧 12:30 PM–12:45 PM – Hula Lesson with Moana
